Renowned for its use of indigenous cotton and 100% natural dyes, 11.11 uses heritage techniques such as handspinning, hand loom weaving, hand painting, miniature tie-dying, and quilting. Each collection is produced in small batches in collaboration with artisans located all across India.

Many of the rurally located artisans they collaborate with already work from home, their spinning wheel and kitchen activities happen in the same space and equipment might extend to the porch or a roof terrace. These craft communities located in remote areas have some of the smallest carbon footprints on the planet.

The ingredients engaged in their natural dyes are safe for the skin and the planet. After the dyeing process is complete, the nitrogen rich water and organic matter are used for fertilizing local crops. This process promotes teamwork between men and women from various traditions of faith.
