AMATEUR sewing...by a 10 year old
I've waited for this dress to became available in my size and finally got it. But when it arrived, my smile quickly turned to a frown... the black top stitching all over this dress is crooked-wish I could attach pictures. Not to mention the cuff on the sleeves are enormous! Whats frustrating is that it takes 8 minutes to button the collar. I'm thinking this was made poorly by an AMATEUR Seamstress!!! really sad because this is a cute style for the springtime.
Hi littleMonke, I'm sorry to hear about your dress! Someone from our team will be in touch with you about this! -Free People
Cheap fabric but very hard to tell as I received this wadded up in battered tissue paper with wrinkles on top of wrinkles. Very sad to receive something in this condition-looks TTS but too short for me. Have to return.
Cute and classy
This 40's vibe dress is so cute. It's long enough for us tall girls but not too long. The look is so classy it could be worn to church but sassy enough for a day out on the town. Totally in love with it. I bought it in the red color which has the cute stitching detail. I felt that the dress was a bit roomy. I usually get a medium in fp, but was able to size down to a small.
The dress arrived very wrinkled and so I tried to put the iron on the appropriate setting for the type of fabric. It didn't seem to do much good and I was afraid I would scorch the material. I got it fairly smooth but the first time I wore it, it wrinkled up in the back pretty badly when I sat down. Otherwise the dress is very cute and the fabric is heavy enough that it isn't see through. I had to go with the xs as the small was just too bulky and heavy on me. The xs is a close fit - probably as intended for someone who is not 5'10" tall. The shipping was super fast!
