Too long - not like the picture
I really loved the photo of the boots from the side and this is why I bought them. They looked really unusual. Snugly fitted to the leg hooking in perfectly at the back of the knee. This is NOT how they fit. That model may be a 6 foot woman that is all legs. My boots are now permanently crumpled about an inch from the top, by the bend of my knee. And I am not short but average height or maybe a bit taller at 6'7"/165cm. Plus I think they have a fault - there is a fold of the tongue on top of my foot that surely shouldn't be there - it really hurts and I have to wedge a gel cushion in there to soften the pressure on my foot. And yeah, like everyone else I was disappointed as the powder rubbed off and they ended up much darker than the photo. They are hard to pull on and off. I thought these boots were a bit special with the rivet feature around the top and the snug fit at the knee but they weren't what they seemed.
Best boots everrrrrrr
Oh my gosh in love with these boots. Wanted hem for a long time and they look just as good as the photos! They are so stylish, adjust to any calf size, are the perfect just below the knee height for thigh highs, pretty much hard yo find an outfit that these boots don't look amazing with!!! Haha only reason I didn't give them a 5 is because they are a pain to cf et on! Especially the first couple times! Super hard to even get your foot in... But don't give up! Also you spend lots of time adjusting the laces all to your liking and level of tightness... And then of course getting them off Haha. They also fit pretty tight at first... But as you wear them more they stretch our a not and mold to your feet and legs! :) totally worth it! They are awesome and super comfy!!!!! I got the beige colour... Sick of all the black and browns.
worth the splurge
got these in brown. i am normally 8.5 and 9 fits perfectly. previous reviews stated the stone wash comes off very easily. this was a significant buying factor for me, as i was hesitant to purchase these because of the stone wash (it was these vs the Joe's). just touching these makes fingerprints in the stone wash. i wiped it away on the majority of the boots as soon as i could, and i'm very happy with the mottled brown color that lies beneath. many different shades. very unique. the toe and stitching detail looks very similar to vintage WW2 combat boots, which is kind of neat. it took 23 minutes (yeah, i timed myself) to get them on the first time. now that they're fitted for my feet, it takes about 5-10 minutes. the stone wash on the laces comes off and you'll need to wash your hands after lacing them up the first few times. that being said, the boots themselves are so comfortable. i can wear them all day without issue. it took me months to splurge on these, but i'm so happy that i did.
Very pretty, original and special boots, nice vintage look. Definately a keeper. Its great that the widst can be adjusted with the laces. The boots will also fit a stronger calf. On the downside: I had to have the soles done, they are quite slippery, especially when it rains (leather).
I lovelovelove these boots!
These boots are AMAZING, they are sooo much more practical and more comfortable then my JC Joe lace ups that I'm actually trying to get rid of my Joes and order these in black too. I got the brown, they were covered in a slight powder, big deal, wipe it off and they still have this fantastic distressed look. I bought my true size, 11 and they fit right out of the box, I spent no time lacing or unlacing and I found them easy to get on and off (again MUCH easier then my Joe boots) Can't praise these enough, good quality for the price, comfortable and they are gorgeous! <3<3
There is a lot love about these ...........
Well they are "dusty" And this stuff will go everywhere ! played around for ages with them trying them on with different outfit and they pretty much went with everything I pulled out. I got the brown they are true to size , narrow foot the leather is actually quite soft and the added bonus the brown underneath has a lot of depth as it has two tones making them look worn so I don't really mind that the stone affect will eventually change . Ladies they are quite tall over the knee but these were a better fit than the "johnny talls" they actually look nice laced up 3/4 way up with the lace tied around like the ( first picture) Yep you do have to lace on but I figured that once "on" They stay on I guess I don't mind if it takes a bit of effort and time I can't wait for autumn to roll in so I can wear them
I love this shoe,I literally have not took these shoes off except to bathe and sleep. There so comfortable. These shoes is very well made for the price. It's worth every cent. I've wore these with jeans, dresses very versatile and sexy. Tons of complaints. I loved how the shoe was washed. The white dusting let me know they were truly stoned-washed and a quick wipe down I was ready to go. These shoes is unique and different, so you will stand out among the rest. I bought the black and considering purchasing the brown.
so worth it!
I couldn't resist them. So glad I didn't! They definitely take a bit of time to get on, but totally worth it. After a couple of wears, they softened up and are super comfy. I actually like the fact that the finish changes a little every time you wear them. I've been wearing them over skinny jeans and with skirts and get compliments every time. don't hesitate, you'll love 'em!
