pretty, but the sheerest thing I've ever seen!
This shirt has a gorgeous silhouette, but it is literally the sheerest thing I've ever seen! It makes it very difficult to wear with anything; I actually feel naked when I do wear it. I really don't know why I never returned it, perhaps because it really is a very pretty shirt. The sleeves are beautifully long & wonderfully flowy, but one of the buttons keeps coming undone (no worries, nothing a few stitches won't fix). My ONLY issue is the sheerness of it. Wearing anything underneath (which I've tried) just hasn't made it lay right; when I have, it took away from the shirts overall femininity & made it look 'blocky' & hard. Oh, well. Lesson learned.
What I love about this blouse is that it has the timeless feel of a peasant blouse with just enough sophistication to take it to the next level. The flared wrist looks great layered under a quarter sleeve sweater and the tie neckline makes it elegant yet sexy. The fabric feels soft and flowy allowing you to move freely and the sheerness is just enough to keep you interested. My new go to white blouse!
This blouse is so soft and dreamy to wear. It is very thin, so if you wear it alone a cami is a must. I've worn it under denim overalls, and under my midi-crocheted slip dress as well as a shorter jumper and love it both tied in a bow, or in a relaxed tie-mid chest. I found it tts. If you wear it tied in a bow, it looks adorable w/a jumper and fp's crocheted ankle socks and some maryjane style shoes, clogs or flat booties..
Very pretty so I ended up getting a 2nd one. The grey and rose colors are beautiful. True to size and I can tuck it in. Thinking of getting the ivory also as these tops are perfect for work. Delicate and see through so you need to wear something underneath.
i was very disappointed because when I got this shirt its not even long enough to tuck into my pants. I am on the tall side but ordered a large and am very disappointed, even the sleeves seemed short compared tow hat the model shows in the picture. I am not even sure if an XL would have added any length. This shirt will be going back.
Lovely soft, billowy blouse. I love it with the tie knotted, not as a bow, like the original July catalogue image. The cuffs, which button at the halfway point, leaving a flowy drape around the wrist, are very pretty, but nothing is too fussy. Runs large. I'm UK 14/16 US10/12 usually FPM/L, and the M here is generous.
