High Rise Roller Skinny
I ordered the Tate Grey in a size 30. When they arrived, I was in love with the color, feel & look of the pants. However, after wearing them around the house a bit, I knew they were too big & would only stretch more. Called Free People, asked how to send in for an exchange, packaged up my jeans & filled out the exchange form, sent them back for a 29 in the Cane Blue because the Tate Grey was out of stock. Two weeks later, I received an email that said my return had been processed & my money refunded. Not sure what happened because I filled out the necessary form to have an exchange, but since it was handled incorrectly I ordered the jeans from another retailer. The 29's in the Cane Blue fit very well & I am pleased. Wish my exchange could have just been processed by Free People.
Hi evenstar444, We're sorry to hear about you jeans. Someone from our team will reach out to you soon. - Free People
Love the fit!!
I have some denim that I love by another brand that has the same material composition. When I saw these, I knew they would be a great fit! I purchased my usual size of 25 and they fit great. I tried a 26 in store and it was just a tad too loose for my liking but definitely still wearable. For reference, I'm 5'2", 108 lbs, and a slender build overall. The inseam is perfect for my height also! The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I ordered the BEAU BLUE and the color is way off from the classic denim blue shown online. The color is a true dark wash, as shown in the pics for the other Roller Jeans with an updated pocket. Also, the pockets on these are a bit too far apart and slightly too wide that it doesn't help out with the butt as much as it can. The other Roller Jeans with the updated pockets on the Beau Blue wash are noticeably more flattering for the butt than these plain, biggish pockets. Still love the fit overall and will def. buy more!
I bought the Beau Blue color yesterday in my local store and they're perfect, these are extra stretchy and the color is solid vs most jeans lately that have a lot of distressing or fading. If you need a great quality skinny jean with some stretch to grow or shrink in, these are perfect. The fabric is very thin though compared to most denim so keep it in mind when buying for colder weather.
I love these jeans and have them in two colors. I'm 5'8" and about 140 pounds and I have my usual FP size 27 which fits great. These jeans start out really tight but loosen up a bit over time. They're so stretchy and comfortable and flattering too.
These jeans fit perfect. Usually if my jeans fit in the hips, they gape in the waist (9 in difference), but not these! They are so flattering and I love everything about them! I got them in the "Tate Grey" and they are almost black. I am 100% satisfied w/these jeans and can't say enough positive things about them. - And the price! Don't miss out. Order your size while they still have it! (TTS. I wear a 29 and the 29 fit perfect. 34-27-36)
Great skinny, once you find the right fit
Ordered my usual size 27 in the Black (125lbs, 5'4"). They were fitted yet loose in areas (material bunching at knees and loose in waist) - Odd! Sized down to a 26, which just wasn't flattering. The material is stretchy and thin and these emphasized my thighs. I recently noticed the new color, Tate Gray, which was more of what I wanted in the first place. I also noticed that the material is different, so I ordered my usual size 27. Fits perfectly! More like denim material. Tate Gray is a faded black. They hug every area of my legs, hips and waist (no material bunching). On my 5'4" frame, they end at my ankle. Very happy FP decided on the Tate Gray in different material. TY!
The stretch is the secret.
I've bought a number of free people pants, but I've always needed to have them altered in the waist because it would start to get loose and sag as I wore them. Anyway, those pants were for the most part cotton and not nearly as stretchy. I discovered that with these the stretch is good at gripping your body in just the perfect way. Lastly, this was my first time buying high rise jeans and these fit brilliantly! I thought they'd look like an 80s nightmare, but they give me beautiful curves and elongate my legs and at 5'4" I don't have the longest stems.
The Perfect Jeans
These jeans are so comfortable and cute that I never want to take them off! Super stretchy and form fitting. By far the best purchase I've made from FP and I'm planning on buying more colors. For reference, I am 5'4.5, 116 pounds and purchased a 26 (but maybe could have sized down). They stop at my ankles.
Can't find a better value
I usually don't say this about FP, but the value of these jeans is great. I much prefer these to high-end brand name jeans that cost 3x more. Really flattering colors, planning on purchasing more in the future. Not too heavy of denim, great for summer.
I love these high-waisted skinnies! They are tremendously flattering and look perfect with the Dover Suede Clogs (also highly recommend). While the materiel is very stretchy, the denim still looks high quality. I bought the beau blue, which is true to color in the pictures.
