love this dress!!!!
I have already worn this dress about four times and am obsessed! I want it in every color. I got it in the dove and it goes perfect with anything! I am 5'3, 125 pounds, and ordered a small. I feel comfortable wearing no undergarments with it! However warning--if it's a windy day I do not recommend wearing it that day!
This is one of the cutest dresses I've ever bought BUT it is extraordinarily see through. Even wearing nude spandex under it you can still see them. However, if you don't mind transparent garments I would definitely recommend it. At the end of the ties are small bells and they jingle when you move. Super festive and extremely fun dress.
I really like this dress. I purchased the ivory in size small because I really liked the open back. When I got the dress the material was quite thinner (gauze like) than I imagined! If you do not want your nipples showing through, I would recommend getting nipple pasties. I won't wear a bra because it wrecks the open back. I personally do not mind the dress being see through, but if you do perhaps the darker colours would be less see through. Got lots of compliments on it, although I wish the other colours had came out when I bought mine. That dove colour looks absolutely divine! Highly recommend this dress. Great for hot days and festivals! <3
DO NOT BUY THIS!
I got this dressing the blue color and i wore it to a music festival. i loved it when i was wearing it indoors but as soon as i stepped outside and the light hit me it was completely see-through! The festival was ruined for me because the entire time I was concerned about the dress being see-through. I might as well have not been wearing any clothes. The material is like cobwebs. I am so disappointed in this dress because I was so excited to wear it and it turned out to be awful.
I bought this dress in the berry color for MDW and it is absolutely beautiful. I kept on receiving compliments the whole night on where it was from and how gorgeous the back was. It's a light dress perfect for a warm summer night out dancing!
truly a bad design/fabric
Three young women in our family, always love your designs and generally the workmanship. The white version is see-thru gauze and is entirely unadjustable at the skirt. If we try to cinch the back so that her whole rear end isn't exposed, it pulls all the fabric to one side, so it is bunched -- awful. If this is really just a swimsuit cover up, say so. Don't call it a "dress" Live For Your Smile Dress? I don't think so.
I purchased this for Coachella, wasn't sure which size to get. Considering the model was wearing a S i got an XS. I'm 5'4 110 lbs and this fit perfectly! I wore black spandex and pasties and I got so many compliments! The front is a little short, but it didn't bother me at all. I absolutely love spinning in this dress, it brings me back to being a little girl. The back is really awesome, and it is a really whimsical lovely dress. The only thing was the lower tie wasn't quite in the middle, it was more towards the side but that didn't bother me much at all. I would definitely buy this in all colors, I love it that much.
I ordered this dress on a whim and figured I'd probably end up taking it back... But I was totally wrong! The fit is wonderful. I ordered a Large (34, 29, 40, 160 lbs.) and am glad I did. I can never figure out which size, and even though it might be a bit big, the back and waist are easily adjusted. My only concern is how sheer the fabric is. I ordered the fuchsia thinking it would help, but it's still really transparent. Nude undies and lots of confidence!! Overall, I love this piece and am excited to wear it once the weather gets a bit warmer!
Lightweight, sheer gauze beauty!
So when I first opened this package tonight, I noticed the material and I thought to myself... "No f*cking way, FP just sold me cheesecloth." I took it out and became even more frustrated when I realized the material was even thinner than it appeared in the package. I try it on (and it's a bit of a hassle to get the ties right for the first couple of minutes) and WOW! I. LOVE. THIS. DRESS! Absolutely one of the most beautiful pieces I own from FP. It's so, so, so flattering and the pretty vacant back is just as much a stunner as the little triangular cut outs that bare your midriff. I bought the white one and plan to wear my bikini under it on an upcoming trip to Mexico and all summer long. I suspect that it will only last one summer due to the paper thin material and raw hem. This dress is going to catch on a lot of things with ease and there is no whats, ifs, or buts about thatl. Even with all this said, had I not purchased a $260 vintage rug today, I'd be stocking up on the lavender and mauve hues. I am just under 5'3, 112lbs, 34A, 25W, typically wear a 0/2 or XS/S in FP. Fits pretty true to size, but the top is a little tight and it on the short side (which I like!) 3 stars because of the delicate, sheer gauzy material. FP, please make this dress in a thicker material and I am sure it will be a hit! Would love to see it in a tan, nude or turquoise!!!!
