Easy, Elegant, and Countless Compliments!
I ordered this in the blue color, and it has become one of my absolute favorite dresses in my closet. So light and comfortable, the fabric is so soft and easy to wear. I got compliments from total strangers the first day I wore it out, which is a good sign! Just so so happy with this purchase! I did, however, have the mid-section taken in about 6 inches. I am a size large, 5' 9" 40-28- 40, and though the top portion fits perfectly and the length is perfect, it is a bit wide on the hips.
pretty and easy
I purchased the blue color and I really like it. The fit is billowy but NOT frumpy. I prefer to only showcase one area of my body at a time, so the fact that is is billowy with a low neckline, it makes sense. I have worn it with a faux shearling vest and boots while it is winter and it will be a great dress to wear with some easy sandals in the summer and still look pretty without being too casual. The construction is great and the fabric is really nice. All in all, it was a great and versatile purchase. I would recommend it. I also don't usually go for a drop waist but I really liked it on this particular dress. For reference, I am 5'6" 120 lbs 34B and i purchased the XS. It runs a tad large for this particular brand
Meh. It's ok.
I've been dying of the dusty rose print forever and wanted to wait to see if FP would carry it (though I really wanted the mini version) so when it stocked it had to order it! I have to say, other then the print/color... this dress is just ok for me. Just another flowy maxy with INSANELY ANNOYING wrist tassels. This is a personal preference but while the added details make it special, the tassels are far to long, too heavy to be around your wrists. It almost, for me, makes the dress unwearable because the tassels hit and tangle and become untied when doing normal life things you'd do while wearing the dress. I'm 5'4" and the small was a smidge too long in the back where it will drag a little but nothing crazy. Slight hi-low. I don't know... I didn't put it on and love it... I was just like mehhhhh. it's ok. And it's a bit pricey for an ok dress.
Great color but a bit frumpy
I love a good drop waist dress, and I loved the blush color, so I had to give this one a go. I'm on the fence about this one. I'm normally an XS in FP (34 b-c, 25-26, 34), but I'm a small in this brand, so that's what I chose. First, the description is a bit misleading, as the dress isn't lined but comes with a detached, short, tight, nude slip. I'd prefer a more tea-length slip and would swap it out, though the dress has a low neckline that the FP slip would clash with, given its crew neck. The color is a really pretty vintage dusty mauve. I thought the fit overall was kind of frumpy, though. You can barely see the band of the dropped waist, and it's very billowy and thick throughout the middle. It's a nice boho dress, but I'm not sure I'll keep it because of the fit issues on me.
