Loved it, but fabric does not hold up well!
I have 2 of these sweatshirts I love them so much, but I recently bought a light blue and the fabric is not as thick as the original one I purchased. It is piling and looks extremely worn and unfresh. It looks like a cheap copy of the original. I am so sad because I love Free People, but the quality of this sweatshirt is NOT up to par for their brand and price.
lightweight loose feminine cardigan
I bought this in the salmon and nile blue. I love them both. Both the colors are more muted. The nile blue is a heather turquoise which I like even better than the pics used to show a bolder blue that was incorrect. The sweatshirt is very feminine and the colors are beautiful. I am still debating if I want to get the black since it is such a staple color. It is a little pricey for a sweatshirt, but I love that free people has something different you cant get everywhere.
Wearing this forever. Guess this is my life now.
So glad I read the other reviews. I'm usually a large, but sometimes medium from free people. I decided to go with medium on this hoodie and it's PERFECT. Not even like, fitted-hoodie-perfect, I mean it fits like my usual larges do in the arms and everything. I'm also 5'11" so I was afraid M would be too short, but it still covers my butt. I haven't washed it yet but even then I don't think it will be tight at all. Definitely recommend sizing down. I was REALLY hesitant about the price... but honestly I think it's worth it. It's so comfortable and the arms are long enough (love that about free people <3). I'm actually wearing it (black) right now at work with black skinny jeans and combat boots with a black tunic under, and it's awesome, just my style (which is black :P ). Also, pretty sure this is the first top I've wanted to wear to work and also lounge in on the weekends, struggling not to wear it every day haha
Different Colors Than Pictured
Free People seems to be the only website I order from (and I shop for clothes online a lot) that enhances the color of its items in web photos in order to make them more attractive. I first ordered this hoodie in Nile Blue; when it arrived, I was surprised to find that it's actually a dark heather green -- not a hint of blue. Thinking this might just be an oddity, I ordered the hoodie in Mint and Salmon. The mint is a very very pale yellow-y green and the salmon is an awful light tan/orange without a hint of pink. I have gone to the Free People website on 3 different computers and my phone, and the colors consistently are off - really misleading an disappointing. Now I get to the foot the bill for sending them back:(

Love at first sight
The second that I opened the bag I just KNEW that I was going to love this...and I was SO RIGHT!!! It is incredibly soft and pretty true to size. If you usually are a LG. just because you don't' like things tight, then purchase a Med. and you will be just fine. A few FP designs, though large in the body, can run small in the arms...not this piece. It's perfect! This is my new favorite piece from FP! I will DEFINITELY be ordering another one in a different color...or two! I ordered the Peppered Plum this time around.
I just received the trapeze sweatshirt and I am so happy I made this purchase. I ordered the goldenrod and sky blue colors and the colors are beautiful. Excellent purchase and will be great for the cooler days!
Perfect casual sweatshirt
I am 5'2", have a 25" waist, and about 105 lbs. I ordered this in a size XS and there is still PLENTY of room. This sweater is perfect for chilly summer nights, the beginning of autumn, and a casual daytime look. I thought the sweater looked even better in person! It has such a lovely movement to it. If there was a smaller size, then I definitely would have bought it. I advise other shoppers to size down.
Style and Comfort
This sweatshirt is the perfect combo of style and comfort. It is lightweight and soft. I did not feel that the shoulders were too poofy like others have stated, but if it bothers you, it may stand out more. It is the perfect length to cover the booty. I am 5'4" for reference and ordered the medium. I have noticed that in almost all of FP Clothing, you need to order the size for the look you want to achieve. So if you want a more fitted sweatshirt I would def. go down a size in this item.
I ordered this cute jacket in the black--it just came today in an xs! The mix of reviews were a little confusing and for the high price I wanted to get the size right thus I write to make suggestions for the next person that purchases this cute top! I'm normally a s--5'3'--often a xs. The reason I bought this jacket was to go over leggings so I wanted it long enough and the xs is just long enough and roomy. If I had the option in the store--I likely would have opted for the s to go with a little more length given the cost. I guess I'll stick with the size I bought because I am hesitant to wait another week for processing but buy your normal size as this is meant to be big---The material is a medium weight sweatshirt and I also wish it were heavier for the cost but it is versatile for all seasons due to the lack of bulk. It is well made and the frayed edges are cute--the puffy sleaves are minimal so don't let that discount the item--It's cute but very costly for a medium weight sweatshirt--it's adorable!
