great value! beautiful sandal
These are soft suede and the craftsmanship is nicely done! I honestly can't believe these are only 68 but I'm happy about it because I can afford another pair. I have the aloe in size 36. The colour is exact to the picture. They are just slightly big in the back of the heel but not enough to be an issue. I usually need cushion at the arch but surprisingly I made it through Newark airport with these and was fine. The quality is excellent and I highly recommend them. My husband also got me the as98 stateside sandal which is expensive and the Torrance is actually a littlenicer! I hope fp gets this sandal in a few more colour options.little nicer
I bought these in the mustard yellow color and I LOVE them. They are so comfortable and fit perfectly!! I'm not sure what the other reviewer was experiencing regarding the fit- but I have not come across any issues. The sole is thick and sturdy, the straps are soft and supple, and overall the shoes fits perfectly and comfortably. They go with everything- I'm thinking about getting another color!!
Cute, but ill-fitting
I was initially looking for the Long Weekend Sandal, which used to come in various colors, but now only comes in Rust. These Torrence Sandals are essentially the 2.0 version of those, so I was excited when I found that they came in black. Unfortunately, what I imagine were attempts at improvement seem to be back-peddling. The sole is thinner and very hard, uncomfortable, and slippery. The skinnier straps make the shoes feel very loose, and they also seem to be sewn at an angle that doesn't allow for the straps to lie flush or provide any support. The size I bought was the exact right length, but when I put my big toes all the way in the toe-straps, it pushed my foot over the front edge of the shoe, leaving excess room behind my heel. These were cute, though I personally much preferred the chunkier look and larger, wester-style buckle of the Long Weekend Sandal. Overall, I was disappointed with these shoes, and I will be returning them.
