Voile and Lace Trapeze Slip styled by the FP Me community
I was really excited about this piece and it does not disappoint. I can't wait until my slip arrives so that I can wear it as a dress. I bought this in the tea color and I plan on buying this in more colors.
The Perfect Layer
I own EIGHT of these... I'm 5'7" and 170 lbs so I'm not petite. These are amazing layered over skinny jeans, ankle boots and a cardigan in the fall, as a coverup in the summer, and I have even worn them to dinner with a longer FP slip underneath. You cannot go wrong with these. I plan to buy even more.
Lovely versatile dress!
I have 4 dresses in different colours. The fabric is soft and comfy. I don't mind the wrinkles so much, although you might be annoyed when you pack them for travel. You definitely need something underneath for the bottom, as the lace is very transparent. I often wear shorts for a casual look, or a half slip for a more romantic feel. It goes nicely with a crochet pullover, or a drippy dress or pullover. I makes me look at least 5 years younger, so I'm not sure it's for everyone. The cut, although not exactly flattering, is cute and very comfy. I definitely recommend it for every FP fan, for at least 2 colours, 1 dark, 1 light.
Flirty and flowy
I'm 5'4" 130 lb's, 32DD and bought a small. The highest length goes to slightly above mid thigh and the lowest part above the knees. I can easily wear this as a dress. My favorite is with a kimono and long necklace. This slip is so versital- I can wear it over jeans or leggings too. I got the tea color and loved it so much I also got the light blue green - lots of compliments. The ruffle and asymmetric length rocks!!!
A great piece in my collection
I originally ordered just one of these slips, but I ended up coming back and ordering I think four more colors. They are so cute, and are very versatile. You can dress it up, dress it down, whatever you want! I even wear mine in the winter under a sweater and it looks adorable. They do fit loose, so I wouldn't worry about sizing up. Its a great layering piece to have in your collection!
You can't have just one!
This is a fave of mine...I have 5..you can dress them up or down wear alone or with leggings or tights. I wear this year round...I love this iron gray..in the winter I wear with a soft pink sweater!
SHORTIES - BUY IT!!
As a super petite person (4'11"), I was nervous that this slip would look like a bag on me. After combing through hundreds of reviews by still somewhat taller people than me I decided to buy an XS and it FITS GREAT. Of course a belt helps to shorten the slip and highlight my waist a bit better but overall it hits about an inch or two above my knee and it still looks absolutely beautiful. This dress is very versatile and I love it to bits. <3
I don't know if you can tell from the other reviews or not, but this dress is perfect. It's so pretty and the lace is just beautiful. You can dress it up or dress it down. My boyfriend LOVES it and I'm trying to save up for another! Definitely worth the price!
The most versatile piece you'll ever own
I have 7 of these!!! I can wear all year long! Summer with the slip and shorts, winter under sweaters! Very flattering and flirty, I love love love this slip. And I will continue to purchase in different colors (:
Sizes Getting Smaller
This dress is a staple in my wardrobe. I have purchased this dress in multiple colors and sizes over the years (size xs-medium) in order to fulfill certain categories in my closet; Whether it was a dress, tunic, or just a regular top. I ordered a size medium in the new fawn combo color (which is now my 4th color in this dress) and I have never been so disappointed. I have been ordering online from FP for years, and I have never encountered an issue like this. The dress was extremely wrinkled, and it looked like it was a size XS. In this same purchase, I received another tank top (which I also own in one other color), ordered the same size, and THAT was way smaller as well. I'm not sure if the sizing is changing here, or if there was an error in manufacturing these products, but they will definitely be going back
